This is not your usual childbirth class! Spinning Babies Parent Class shows you what to do for an easier birth with practical and detailed preparation to help baby find the best position to fit the pelvis and solutions when labor seems long, painful, or has a stall!
Developed by midwife Gail Tully, these techniques offer practical work for your body to birth naturally in today’s modern civilization. You will learn to move your body with intention while it changes almost daily during pregnancy. Habitual movements throughout the day and while we sleep can create imbalances in our body. These activities are perfectly designed to balance the soft tissue surrounding the pelvis during pregnancy and labor. Learn tips for flipping breech or malpositioned babies in pregnancy to avoid a cesarean section. You will learn the 3 sisters of balance, “Rest Smart”, “Move Smart”, and The Daily Essentials.
Learning how your body changes and where is baby can significantly reduce the fear of the unknown of pregnancy and childbirth. You can control your labor by using movement, balance, and gravity, reducing the need for medical interventions. Parents across the globe are using these techniques….and they’re working! Spinning Babies Parent Education is a 3-hour workshop. An eBook is sent to you to accompany this class. You will get A LOT of information. A notebook would be handy. Feel free to take pics with your smartphone. Light snacks will be provided.
Class size is limited to 5 couples. This can be the father, partner, doula, or birthing coach. If you don’t have someone to attend with you that’s OK. We can pair up or Susan will happily be your partner for the day.
Special note to doulas. This is not a Spinning Babies workshop. Gail requests that you will not teach this to others if you have not attended a Spinning Babies workshop. Thank you for respecting Gail’s vision, incredible knowledge and the hard work she has put into developing this amazing paradigm in childbirth.
Prenatal Body Balancing Classes
This class is the BEST of both worlds! Take what you learned in the Spinning Babies Parent Education class (although, not a prerequisite) and combine it with a yoga flow sequence designed to balance your changing body. Susan will use her Rebozo to give all participants a little extra love! We will use breathing and relaxation techniques to “breathe baby down.” Prepare body and mind for childbirth in this perfect compliment to prenatal yoga, Spinning Babies Parent Education class, or on it’s own!
Private Prenatal Body Balancing
This session is perfect to get a little one on one attention. Pregnancy can be uncomfortable but should not be painful. Pain may indicate an imbalance in the soft tissue structure. Using a combination of Spinning Babies techniques, BIRTHFIT functional progression and advanced intentional movement trainings, we will address any concerns you may have. Great for encouraging baby to move into a more optimal position and provide comfort for the mama.
